Katharine Houghton Hepburn (May 12, 1907 – June 29, 2003) was an American actress of film, stage, and television. Raised in Connecticut by wealthy parents, Hepburn turned to acting after graduation. Favorable reviews of her work on stage in 1932 brought her to the notice of Hollywood. After a few early film successes, including her first Academy Award, for Morning Glory, Hepburn endured a string of flops, which led to her being voted "box office poison". Fortunately, she had a great triumph starring in the Broadway play The Philadelphia Story. She obtained the film rights with the help of Howard Hughes and sold them to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on the condition that she reprise her leading role as Tracy Lord. The hit film adaptation revived her flagging career.

Over the course of her career, Hepburn co-starred with screen legends including Cary Grant (Bringing Up Baby, Holiday, The Philadelphia Story), Humphrey Bogart (The African Queen), John Wayne (Rooster Cogburn), Laurence Olivier (Love Among the Ruins) and Henry Fonda (On Golden Pond). However, her greatest teaming, both on-screen and off, was with Spencer Tracy, beginning with 1942's Woman of the Year. They fell in love and conducted a decades-long affair that was kept secret from the general public. (Tracy was married and, as a Catholic, could not divorce his wife.) The last of their nine films together was Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967), which was completed shortly before Tracy's death.

Hepburn holds the record for the most Best Actress Oscar wins with four, out of 12 nominations. She won an Emmy Award in 1976 for her lead role in Love Among the Ruins, and was nominated for four other Emmys, two Tony Awards and eight Golden Globes. In 1999, she was ranked by the American Film Institute as the greatest female star in the history of American cinema.

Elite Magazine Release

Elite Magazine made it's debut yesterday. It's owned by the lovely Larsa_Gurl. I must say, I'm very impressed! For a First Issue, this one's a winner! The graphics are really well made (I'm not so sure about the cover though...), articles interesting and they spice it up with a raffle. I did get a little tired of seeing Mel on the cover of yet another Magazine, but hey, she's always awsome :) Love you Mel...




The cover wasn't as great as the graphics inside the Magazine, but it's still ok in my opinion





Elite Magazine definatly deserves a round of applouse!

Beauty: Look Like a Wintery Fairy!

Hey, it's Nicole! I was thinking today, winter makeup is quite different from other seasons! You need it to be almost frosty and delicate, gentle, even, but still colorful and beautiful! Cool colors work best during the winter. So, I have made a makeup tutorial on how to have Wintery Fairy makeup!

What you end up with:

Begin:

Use gradient dark and light blue eyeshadows.

 Add white eyeshadow to the inner part of eyes.

Use bright blue pencil liner on the mid & tips of eyes.

 Use white liner pencil on the inner very corners of the eye.

Your eyes can't be completely pale! Add some definition with heavy coated mascara on upper and lower lashes.

Have neutral yet dainty lips by keeping your pale lip color and adding gloss. If your lip color is darker, use a skin tone lipstick underneath clear, shiny lip gloss.

End the look with some rosy blush that livens your face even through the coldest of winter days!

Italian Mafia, Shut Down.

After being reported by many Stardoll members, including myself, the Stardoll "Italian Mafia" has been shut down. A lot of people are asking whether or not there was really ever a threat from these people. My personal opinion? No. If they had "hacking software", why not just hack everyone who owns valuable items? Instead they attack the "Elites" because they know they'll receive attention. Attention was all they were ever really after and if you ask me, they got it.


Once again, you all may proudly display your rares and continue about your Stardoll lives, for the threat of being hacked is over, for now.
